White is the colour of tennis by tradition, and keeping it impeccable is a matter of method, not luck. Five simple habits are enough.
1. Wash cold, and promptly
The longer perspiration sits in the fabric, the harder it is to remove. Wash your pieces soon after the match on a delicate cycle, at the temperature on the label: 40 °C for most Nordi pieces, 30 °C for the Thermolite ones, the João and Eduardo t-shirts and the Bernardo shorts.
2. Keep whites together
It sounds obvious and remains the most ignored rule. White washes with white, a single coloured piece is enough to compromise an entire load.
3. Avoid chlorine bleach
On technical fabrics, chlorine yellows rather than whitens and degrades elasticity. For localised stains, prefer a neutral soap applied before washing.
4. Dry in the shade
Direct sun ages the fibres and the colours of the trims. Dry your pieces flat in the shade, away from radiators, and skip the tumble dryer.
5. Store with care
Folded, somewhere dry, away from pieces with zips or velcro that could pull threads. The court wardrobe rewards the same discipline as the game.
